How To Find What You Need

There are lots of ways to find information on FindAQuiltTeacher.com.

1. Use the navigation tab on the left hand side of every page for finding teachers listed by their last names. Just click! Scroll from the A's to the Z's.

2. Use the navigation tab on the left hand side of every page for finding teachers listed by where they live. Just click! Find a state or country, click, and scroll A to Z.

3. It works the same for guilds and shops. Click and scroll.

4. There is a SEARCH BOX in the upper left hand corner of every page. Type in the name of a book, a teacher's last name, a teacher's first name, the name of a workshop, a quilting technique, etc.

Results will show every time those particular words show up ANYWHERE on the web site. It will show you when ANY of the words are found, when SOME of the words you typed (if more than one) are found together, and when ALL of the words you typed are found together. Look for the little colored boxes.

Put quotation marks around words like "machine quilting" and the web site will show you those two words ONLY when they appear together. (It doesn't care if you use capital letters or not, but make sure you spell correctly.)

5. When each search result pops up, you'll also see a secondary search box under the big orange bar that says "Search."

This secondary search box will let you search through the results you just got so you can narrow them down.

So, if you just searched for "machine quilting" in the main search box, now you can type MI in the secondary search box and all the quilters who listed machine quilting among their specialties and live in Michigan will pop up.

You could also type in CA WA if you're looking for instructors who teach machine quilting in California and Washington.

6. Here's another option. Type specializes in the main search box. Now you can see the teacher's name, location AND the first few techniques they've listed as their specialties. Scroll to get a sampling…
